When I signed up for mums and bubs at SBCF, I was 6 weeks postpartum and hadn’t been active since before my 2nd pregnancy. I was not that keen on the idea of “crossfit.” I had heard a lot online and just didn’t think I belonged in a place like “that”, I didn’t think I was fit enough, skilled enough and definitely not strong enough.
It’s not at all what I imagined, the support is amazing. Everyone is doing the same workout but at their own challenging level, and always cheering each other on. I learn every time I’m in the gym, I’ve gained strength, mobility, fitness and the confidence to challenge myself. I’ve lost all my baby weight and more. Friends and family don’t notice that I’ve “lost weight”… They say I “look fit, healthy and happy”.
I enjoy going to the gym, it’s always different, and am more motivated than I’ve been in my life. As a bonus my 3yr old now loves SBCF as much as me, and talks about the importance of exercise in everyday life.
